  • Job Description

I need a lovely person who can assist my kids a couple of days a week, to get to school in the morning. Either just to get them to school and/or get them prepared to get there and then walk them there safely ( 10 min walk). For the moment this is my most urgent need. We could set a regular schedule for an established amount or figure it out as we go, by the week ( depending on the needs of my schedule). We’d have to talk about what’s possible on both sides:).

The work time would be from 7h00-7h30 to 8h45 after walking to school. We live in Buswell street in Richmond and the kids go to Cook school. I could also do with just the walk to the school ( as my husband works from home but he needs to be available for his collegues). Even that would really solve a headache at this point.

  • Important Information

Occasional child care requires a specific mindset. It's being comfortable and confident to step in and help a family from time to time and manage the adjustment particularly younger kids face to parents not being around.

Its important to create a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating experience. A great babysitter from the kids perspective is someone who is fun, loves to play, sing, run and do creative projects. For a parent, it's all of the above, but also meal preparation for the kids, keeping the children’s areas neat and tidy, helping older kids with homework and being able to respect rules around discipline, nap/bed time and process.
