  • Job Description

Hi, my name is Ronnie. I'm hiring a part time baby sitter/nanny working in Barrie, Ontario (South/Holly). Are you great with kids? Are you available 3-5 or 3-6 most Mondays to Fridays?

My children are 11 and 12 and they are easy to care for. I'm looking for the right person to take care of my children after school until I get home from work.

The perfect candidate would honest, kind, have some experience either professionally or with looking after younger siblings and live nearby.

My main requirement is for childcare but if you can cook or do housework too, then I pay more. My kids are low maintenance at 11 and 12, I just need the right person to be around if they need help with something while I'm not here. :)

  • Important Information

Occasional child care requires a specific mindset. It's being comfortable and confident to step in and help a family from time to time and manage the adjustment particularly younger kids face to parents not being around.

Its important to create a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating experience. A great babysitter from the kids perspective is someone who is fun, loves to play, sing, run and do creative projects. For a parent, it's all of the above, but also meal preparation for the kids, keeping the children’s areas neat and tidy, helping older kids with homework and being able to respect rules around discipline, nap/bed time and process.
