Hello! :-) Thank you for finding my profile here. I appreciate you taking the time to read about me and to consider me for your family's Live-In Full-time or Part-time Nanny/Housecleaner and/or Homeschooler.

I am looking for a long-term (at least 1 - 2 years) Live-In Nanny/Cleaning job to pay off credit card debt for recent 3 month travel expenses exploring the gorgeous Great Bear Rainforest on the coast of British Columbia while I sublet my West End apartment for 2 years.

I have heaps of excellent cleaning references from former customers where I was a Self-Employed Housecleaner Extraordinaire in both Seattle (where I was born & raised) and in Vancouver BC (where I've been a Permanent Resident for many years). I also have detailed written evaluations from former principals about my many years of teaching experience overseas in both the U.S. Peace Corps as a Language Arts (Reading & Writing) Teacher Trainer, and in the suburbs of Seattle as an elementary classroom teacher, including 3 years in a really great Parent Cooperative teaching grade 1 and 2 students.

Earlier this year, I updated my CPR, First Aid, and AED knowledge and skills (January 2017) at an All-Day Red Cross training and can email you a copy of the certificate that I received after passing the hands-on and written testing. I have a BC driver's license with a clean driving record. I have also been checked out by the Vancouver Police Dept showing a clean record including a VSS check for clearance to work with vulnerable sectors of society such as children and elderly. I do not however own a car as I prefer to spend money on life experiences & education rather than maintaining a car. I am an excellent driver with a clean driving record and will be happy to safely transport your children with the car or public transportation pass that you provide.

I have spent my entire adult life caring for and educating children: 1) as a popular neighbourhood babysitter beginning when I was age 12, for children from newborn - age 9; 2) as a full-time housecleaner &/or live-in nanny to anywhere from 2 - 4 children at a time, including special needs children, or studying to become a teacher, when I was 18 - 28 years old; and 3) , from age 29 - 45, as a Language Arts Teacher Trainer & Reading/Writing Resource Teacher in the U. S Peace Corps with 800 students ranging in age from 4 - 16, and as a public school teacher working with elementary students (mostly grade 1 - grade 4) in regular school programs as well as in a parent cooperative multi-age alternative program. From age 46 - present, I have been self-employed working as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher for business people in both Vietnam and in Chile. I am a Social Studies major (Bachelor's degree) and have a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a 3. 86 GPA. So you can see that caring for children, enriching their lives, teaching, learning, and experiencing a variety of cultures, are all very important to me. Perhaps I am just the Live-In Nanny and/or HouseCleaner that you are looking for. :-)
