    I have worked as a swimming teacher, baby sitter, nanny and currently I am a First Aid instructor with the Red Cross. My job as a swimming instructor has enhanced my communication and teaching skills. I have taught all ages and have worked with special needs children as well. I have volunteered with the best buddies program which aims to give special needs kids an enjoyable high school experience. As a best buddies volunteer I helped plan activities that ensured the students felt included and were engaged in what they were learning.

    As a First Aid instructor I know the importance of safety and am prepared for every situation. I'm very proud of the fact that I have volunteered with the Salvation Army, Amnesty International and Free the Children. I have not only volunteered locally but I have volunteered internationally. I went to the Dominican Republic to build a house; I have travelled to Ecuador to build a school and I have taught in the slums in India.

    I think quickly on my feet, I'm enthusiastic and love working with kids!
