My name is Lisa, and I am a dynamic and experienced nanny fluent in three languages. I am a former teacher, working as a nanny for nine years now. I have been nanny to five babies, (a large family), including children birth to thirteen, to a family with a two/three, and a five/six-year-old, and to a few other children of various ages.

I have a classical music and dance background, and enjoy swimming, and played and did a bit of basketball coaching. I usually swim 50-150 laps a week. I’m cheerful, fun-loving, and positive with children: patient, and calm, consistent, encouraging, and loving. I love reading with them and doing outdoor, as well as educational activities: Eng., Fr., or Span. language, reading, math, science, etc. I also enjoy creative, or imaginary activities, including dressing up as pirates, etc)!

I’m gifted with an ability to build a special rapport with children, as well as with parents. I have strategies for teaching, (or “un-teaching!”) habits, creating structure and routines, which are beneficial for socializing, gaining confidence, and learning to face challenges. Humour, clowning, music, (sometimes with youtube!), as well as recognition, usually go a long way in motivating them!
