Hi!

My name is Eirika, and I am a female of 32 years. I was born in Canada but have traveled extensively throughout my life. I have lived in Canada, Japan, the Canary Islands, Iceland, Belize, Thailand and Brazil, and have traveled to over 20 countries globally. I am fluent in French and English, and also picked up Spanish during my travels. Throughout the years I have gained experience in a wide variety of sports, music (piano and vocals), a variety of dance forms, art, and culinary skills. I traveled through the Amazon for 3 months on an expedition in order to earn my Outdoor Leadership diploma, spent 2 years at Vancouver Island University in the Education program, and then specialized in Holistic Nutrition through the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. I am currently working on some online courses in the following subjects: Autism Awareness, Dyslexia Awareness, Special Educational Needs, Speech & Language Specialist, and American Sign Language. I am also furthering my studies in Childhood Nutrition. I currently work in family nutrition and early childhood development. I have worked with children in a variety of settings over the last 20 years and can't wait to share my skills and talents with a loving family in the Vancouver area.

Both my parents are teachers so I have spent a lot of time helping out in classrooms. I started developing a passion working with children when I was 11 and I took on my first babysitting job. I have since then worked as a nanny both locally and internationally, done tutoring, coached sport teams, worked as a camp counselor, mentored as a Big Sister, mentored as a Kids Help Phone Student Ambassador, stepped in as a teacher's aid, and was a part-time step mom. I have worked with children of all ages (including infants), children with disabilities, children with fatal allergies, and large groups of children. I have worked with single parent families, active large families, busy executive families, and celebrity high profile families.

I understand that each family has their own unique wants and needs, and I am prepared to work with you to create an authentic and personalized relationship. I take your privacy seriously and will never disclose personal matters to the public. The safety of your family is my primary concern.

I am available to work immediately and I am flexible in terms of hours, however my preference is full time. I seek a family with good communication skills, honesty, respect and a loving nature.

I am open to creating a meal plan based on your family's needs and doing meal prep as well. I will provide you with a list of activities (educational, creative, and active) that I can accommodate for your children and put them into play based on your child's interests and needs. I understand the importance of discipline, and will apply your family's methods, however, I do not believe in yelling or using violence. I strongly believe that children need constant stimulation, and therefore I will engage them in activities. I would like to play a part in helping your child develop a healthy and active lifestyle.

In addition, I am more than capable of completing household management duties and executive assistant work.

I can provide references, a criminal record check, Emergency Childcare First Aid & CPR certification, and a clean driver's abstract upon request.
