Have been babysitting my siblings from a very early age (walking home from school, helping with homework, preparing meals). Attended first babysitting course at 12 y/o. Participated in/passed course for working with children& adolescents with learning disabilities at secondary education level. Also tutored/ assisted children with disabilities at elementary education level. Consistently booked clients for childcare from 2005-present (references available). Able to help with homework /tutor (esp. in English & History grade 1-12, Science grade 1-10, other details available upon request). Later at 18 completed a 2 day first aid course including CPR certification (renewing this certification in Feb 2019). Discovered love for caring for others at a very young age and have cared for children as young as 1 month old incl. on overnight stays, have also cared for children as old as 15 years old. Comfortable with cooking meals, bed time, walking pets, cleaning, changing diapers or cleaning up after pets etc.) Very compassionate and understanding individual, able to engage and communicate with children of all ages. Patient and intelligent, have experience with children with physical and mental disabilities as well as behavioral challenges. Happy to sing, play games and entertain children and keep them happy and entertained while they wait for you to come home! Currently looking to change career paths; most recently employed in retail, financial and administrative roles. Love working with children, and children love me!
