  • About Me

I am a fun-loving, responsible 19 year old looking for a nanny job involving young children. I aspire to become an educator and I think that nannying would be a great place to start. I also have experience in dealing with young children because I nannied two boys from January 2016 to August 2016 until I left for Victoria to attend college. The boys were 8 months old and 4 years old and I still have a relationship with the family as we became very close during this time. I took care of them five days a week from 8am to 4pm usually at their home. I sometimes brought the boys over to my house to play with my little brothers. My brothers are now 5 years old and 9 years old. I have been taking care of both my brothers since they were babies. I come from a loving family with many cousins, who I have babysat on many occasions, so I am more than used to dealing with children of all ages. I graduated from Brookswood Secondary School in 2015 with honours and received scholarships for my academic achievements. I am currently attending Camosun College in Victoria, B. C. with straight As and I am going into my second year in September 2017. I currently live in Victoria until I finish my exams at the end of April and then I will be moving back to Langley from May to August. My hobbies and interests include music, playing with my brothers and dog, being with my friends, and reading. I love adventures, so I would be happy to take the child/children I nanny out on a sunny day and go for walks in the park or to the beach. I also have a car that I can transport the children in as long as car seats are available. Since I want to be an educator, my goal is to nanny a child and help them learn to read and write if they don't already know how. I have previously taught my brothers things like the alphabet and how to count. I also helped my 9 year old brother with his reading and writing assignments that he gets from school. I have had my Canadian Red Cross Babysitting License since 2009 and took a course to obtain this. I strongly believe that nannying is the right job for me at this point in my life because spending time with children is something I have always loved and teaching is what I want to pursue as a career.
