I’ve been a Mom and a care taker for many years. I love children and babies and have a lot of experience with them.
I’m taking my first aid course with infant CPR next week. The children that I’ve watched all love me, even those that I only watch occasionally.
I like things clean and tidy and have don’t mind doing housework. I also have my level 1 food safe and am fussy about germs getting into food or cross contamination. I can cook and bake.
As I mentioned before, I’m a Mom. I have a son that will start kindergarten in the fall and he will likely be there with me for a lot or most of the time but I have experience with having multiple children that I care for, so don’t see it as something that would interfere with my ability to care for your child/ren as well. He is also used to being around babies and children younger than him.
I have my own vehicle and a clean driving record. I can also provide a criminal record check and have excellent references.
I’ve done some volunteering in kids camps as a camp mom (fixing minor scrapes, first aid, administering their medications, and just listening to them when they missed their parents) and also as a kitchen helper and cook. I really enjoy working with and being around children. If I could live my dream, it would be working in an orphanage.
I’m born and raised in North Western Canada and have lived there all my life. I know about Canadian weather and have over 20 years of experience in driving in winter driving conditions.
I’m a low key person who doesn’t like drama or arguing. I know how to stay calm and in control even in high-stress situations. I don’t swear or scream. I adopted and raised a child with anger issues and he’s now a responsible adult with a wife and little girl, who he’s a good father to.
I enjoy going for walks, playing soccer & volleyball, crocheting, reading, paint by numbers, zumba dance and family & clean comedy shows.
