I am 49 years old, married, and the mother of a special needs 14 year old boy. After 22 years of employment in a large company (most recently in the engineering department), I was affected by restructuring. Rather than jump back into the corporate world, I would like to be available during the day to support my son now that he's in grade 9. I would be available during the day to care for your child, so long as I am available to take my son to school for 9 am and pick him up at 3pm. I also need to be available to occasionally pick him up during the day as needed. Evenings and weekends are not a problem. Short notice is not a problem. I am able to care for your child at your home or mine. Pets are okay too as I have two dogs myself. I am currently, occasionally babysitting a 15 year old with special needs and I am quite sure his parents would be willing to provide a reference if required.
