Hi my name is Mary and growing up I knew I wanted to work with children. They are so full of amazing energy and such a joy to be around. I am passionate about children because you can learn a lot from them, like how to enjoy the simple things in life. I have been working with children for the past 3 years in the position of babysitters, daycare assistant, and preschool teacher. I have worked with all ages from newborn to 9 years old. I love working with children and getting to know them and their individual personalities.

I have 2.5 years' experience working as a preschool teacher at a head start program for children 3-6 years-old. There I had my own group of 4-5 3-year-olds, some of my duties included creating daily schedules of age appropriate activities to help them develop better social, physical, mental and emotional skills. I also helped provide the children a clean safe place for learning by taking the proper cleaning procedures after every meal and play time. I also have 1-year experience as an on-call babysitter for a family with a 9-year-old. I have completed courses as an ECA and completed some courses to become an ECE II.

The perfect family for me would easy going, outdoorsy people who love to be outside rain or shine, can work together as a team and communicate about the children's daily activates and my daily duties.

The benefits of me joining your family is I simply enjoy spending time with children. I pride myself on being able to play and act goofy with children, yet still have them listen and respect everyone around them. I love taking children to interactive and fun activities such as the park, zoo, splashpad, etc. But I also like to spend time at home coloring, dancing, singing, and starting baby sign language at 6 months old (if necessary). I also have experience in potty training both boys and girls by 3 years old. Keeping the child's well-being is something I take very seriously. I'm a healthy balance of an easy going/patient attitude, and assertive when needed. I understand the importance of my role and I'm willing to take on that responsibility.
