I am currently completing my Bachelor of Education from Simon Fraser University (graduation date is August 2017), and I have already been hired in the Burnaby School District. My passion and specialization in teaching is primary education (K-3), especially the kindergartners! I am also very passionate about working with children of all abilities.

I worked for Easter Seals Society for Children with Disabilities for four seasons at one of their summer camps, Camp Squamish. For two summers I was a counsellor. I was the primary caregiver of six campers with different exceptionalities over the summer sessions. I was responsible for personal care, physical care and behavior support for these campers during their seven day overnight camping sessions. In addition to this I was tasked with planning the campers activities for the duration of their camp stay. The following two summers I was promoted to assistant director, where I was responsible for interviewing and hiring summer staff counsellors and training/assisting them. I was in charge of all parent communication before camper’s overnight sessions as well as while their children were attending camp.

I have worked for countless families in the past as baby sitter and have nannied for two. The children I have cared for have been between the ages of 3 months-15 years.

Some of my hobbies include dance, singing, acting, visual arts, playing with animals and being outside in any way!
