My name is Carrie and I am a 20-year-old university student, starting my 3rd year of Nursing at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. I have been working with children of all ages since I was 14 and started teaching swimming lessons. I have worked at 2 summer camps, one for children and families experiencing childhood cancer, and this was an amazing experience! This past year, my clinical placement involved me working with women during their pregnancies, infants, and toddlers. During my second semester, I worked in the hospital in child and adolescent mental health. I have also completed 2 child development psychology courses, and have lots of knowledge and experience with children from the ages 0-6 (I LOVE this age group).

I absolutely love being a positive part of kids' lives, and providing them with fun and positive experiences. I believe that if children have strong role models, are supported, loved, and nurtured, they will have a healthy, happy childhood.

P.S. My favourite activities are swimming, hiking, camping, and I love to cook healthy meals! :)
