Born and raised in Gaspesie, Quebec, I received my DEC in Professional Theatre and my B. A in Child Studies, specializing in Special Education. I have recently left my job as a bilingual educator in a Montreal daycare/preschool (where I worked for two years with children aged 18 months to 5 years) in order to move to Toronto.
I am a highly creative person with a lifelong passion for learning and literature. I believe in wild imaginations and play as the key to early learning; I am silly, don't have a problem with messes and I consider a little paint-splatter on my clothes to be a sure-tell sign of a fun day.
I have a dog (named Baxter) and am the kind of person who steers away from pet stores/animal shelters for the sake of not bringing home every stray animal in sight (while I keep insisting we could adopt 5 dogs, my spouse isn't so keen on the idea). I am a vegetarian and a gluten-intolerant one at that (Yes, I am the guest no one wants to invite over for dinner). I am a fabulous cook, the "eco-green recycling queen" and happen to have (what I think is) a great sense of humour.
I am hoping to find a family that is as creative and energetic as I am.
