  • About Me

Hello, My name is Lea and I have been a contract French teacher (high school) with the Toronto District School Board for twelve years. I am also the Assistant Curriculum Leader of my department: a specialized French program meaning I teach both extended and immersion French courses.

With summer upon us, I am looking to spend my holidays working with a great family. I am available for baby-sitting full-time during the months of July and August inclusive (MONDAY, JULY 1st through to FRIDAY, AUGUST 30th). Into September, I would be open to the possibility of continuing to do occasional babysitting during weekend evenings and depending on the day, possibly some evenings during the week.

Just to tell you a little about myself, I'm in my thirties, married (no children) and have been babysitting in Toronto ever since I attended Teacher's College in the city (2005-2006). My experience does not include my time working as a babysitter during middle school, high school, or university. During holiday periods and occasionally during the school year I baby-sit just to supplement my income a little. Plus, hanging out with little kids is a lot of fun!

In addition to my teacher training, I have first aid and CPR as well as a G class driver's licence, although my bicycle is my primary mode of transit. I'd also like to point out that in addition to being a cyclist, I am a runner (I run about 50 kilometres per week), and very physically active by nature. I am not a fan of sitting in front of the television and my love for being outdoors is manifested in my babysitting. At every opportunity (weather permitting obviously) I like to be outdoors with children, helping them explore and discover our world.
