Hello. I am an eighteen year old student at University of Western Ontario but am originally from Windsor. I love working with kids and have a lot of experience in the field. I have a younger sister who I have been taking care of and watching out for my entire life. I have babysat for numerous families with nothing but positive reviews. I have volunteered with the Book Buddy program at the Windsor Public Library and have been a camp counsellor in Muskoka Woods as well as a counsellor at Turtle Island Arts Camp. Additionally, I am involved with Engineers Without Borders and their youth engagement team. One of my primary responsibilities in this role is to present to elementary and secondary schools on a variety of global issues.
Some of my major interests include sports and physical activity, cooking, and reading. I played a variety of sports throughout my youth as well as now, particularly basketball, volleyball, and soccer. I love cooking, baking, and anything at all to do with food really and reading is one of my favourite pastimes whenever I have free time.
I have been greatly influenced by both my parents but my mother especially who has been teaching young children for the past ten years. In addition to the knowledge she has bestowed upon me regarding childcare she has taught me patience, kindness, dedication, and much more.
Overall, I would describe myself as a compassionate and responsible person. Those who know me would vouch for the fact that I am always smiling and am always in a good mood. I love surrounding myself with other people who are as lively as me and who can appreciate little things in life that are often overlooked.
