Hello, I am a twenty year old Irish student visiting Vancouver on a visa for the next three months. I am available to mind children of any age. I currently study English Literature, Psychology and French at the University of Glasgow and am in Vancouver on a holiday working permit.

I have experience working with children in several different environments. I have babysit for many families (children aged 4 months to 12 years old) and can pass on a reference from my most recent employer. As a babysitter I was responsible for minding the children, cooking and feeding them, entertainment the children and getting them to various playdates/lessons. I also have experience working in a montessori with children aged 2-5 in which my responsibilities included taking care of the children and guiding them through the lessons. I have also worked in a youth theatre group with children of all ages, in which I helped the drama teachers to manage the classes and encouraged the children to take part, all the while ensuring their safety and fun.

I truly do love and enjoy the company of children. I am a very reliable, responsible and resourceful employee. I have been complimented on my ability to be patient with everyone I meet - a skill I have found is not only necessary for jobs that involve interacting with young children.

As an individual, I am respectful and well mannered, and I am extremely open to any feedback, both negative and positive. As it is your home and they are your children, I completely understand that you may want things done a specific way, and I would be more than happy to adapt my methods. Having had almost ten au pairs while growing up, I believe that I have come to understand what makes a good childminder,

I have a clean criminal record and can send on my very recent police certificates from both the UK and Irelad which state that I have never been involved in any criminal activities.
