Hello! I would like to have the privilege of providing senior care for an individual(s) for this July and August. As a new nurse, I have gained experience providing different levels of care to the senior population with a focus on holistic, culturally sensitive care. I greatly enjoy building positive relationships to those I provide service for and am passionate about providing compassionate care for the elderly. I am also certified in providing specialized senior and diabetic footcare if this may be an asset. I have mostly full-time availability with the exception of a few dates. However, during the months September-June, my availability is limited as I am currently employed with another organization. In terms of my background related to Senior Care, my experience is as follows: -Volunteer experience providing companion care for seniors (conversation and other activities) -Student nursing experience working with older adults and the older adult population who have chronic disease and/or who are rehabilitating after stroke, licensed nursing experience providing basic and advanced nursing foot care to seniors, providing holistic care with a strong social aspect. Experience also includes morning and evening care, assistance with feeding, organizing recreational activities, carrying out light housekeeping duties, cooking and meal preparation, overall maintaining a safe environment.
