Hello, My name is Jessica Ryan, I am 20 years old and currently enrolled at Fanshawe College in the Child and Youth Worker program. I have known I wanted to work with children and youth for a very long time because I know I can really make a difference in someone's life, and the thought of doing that keeps me motivated. I am very energetic and cheerful, yet I can cool down when I know it is time to cool down. I understand children need balanced diets and lots of exercise, I enjoy playing all kinds of sports from soccer to baseball to volleyball (although I am not very good at volleying). I also enjoy art and making crafts, I am quick to think on my feet so when one activity isn't working for everyone I always have a plan B, and when that doesn't work I like to listen to the children and/or youth to hear what they have to say and what they want to do. I enjoy taking hikes or walks down to the park or waterpark with my nieces and spending the day outside. I can cook a fairly decent meal and clean up after myself all while keeping a watchful eye on the children. I do have my licence and my own car do transportation is not an issue (I also have a bus pass if for some reason my car does not cooperate with me).
