I am 20 years old going into my 4th year at Trent University for primary junior teaching. I have been working with children for 8 years in a wide variety of settings; including working and volunteering at several different day camps, I was a Sunday school leader, a Girl Guides leader, as well as a tutor, personal support worker for a 7 year old boy with autism, and babysitter for several years. Most recently I have been volunteering in a kindergarten classroom and working as a nanny for 9 month old twin boys. Throughout the summer months I am working full time as a nanny for 1 year old twins in my hometown of Mississauga. My hobbies include volunteering, reading, hiking, arts & crafts, and playing music. In the future I hope to teach kindergarten and eventually open and run my own preschool or daycare.
I have a positive outlook on life and enjoy spreading that outlook to all those I come in contact with, a skill I feel I have been blessed with through my work with children. My personality can be best described as outgoing, honest, and caring. I truly love working with children and look forward to the years ahead of me it will bring.
