Hi there!

My name is Brittany. I am 20 years old and currently studying Early Childhood Education at the University of Guelph-Humber. I have experience in a childcare setting with toddlers, preschoolers, kindergartners and grade school children; however, interested in the opportunity to work with infants as well, if needed. I am looking to expand my knowledge and experience with children. I am very friendly, humorous, patient, silly and compassionate. I sincerely enjoy children and plan to further my education by obtaining a teaching degree in hopes of being a primary school teacher. I love animals, reading, Lego, Disney movies and arts and crafts! I am very creative and love thinking of fun activities to do, such as experiments! Also, I love thinking of fun holiday or season themed activities and arts/crafts to do! Additionally, I am able and very willing to provide homework help for your child if they need a little bit of extra practice with a subject they are struggling with. I am proficient with ELECT (Early Learning for Every Child Today), Think, Feel Act, and How Does Learning Happen? which are all Ontario ECE documents used in daycare/early year settings. Through ELECT, I plan activities that meet the current developmental abilities of your child through activities such as sensory bins (toddlers & preschoolers) - to name one of many possibilities!
