  • About Me

Fearless, dedicated, reliable and endless energy - even in the morning! I would love to be a helping addition to a likeminded family. I grew up on the North Shore and currently live in Mount Pleasant, I know all of the good spots of Vancouver like the back of my hand.
I completed a Bachelor’s Degree with a Double Major in English and History from Acadia University. Throughout this degree, my passion for literature and stories developed into finely tuned critical thinking and analytical skills. I participated in extensive extracurricular roles over the past four years and have consistently demonstrated great interpersonal skills with a keen eye for detail.
During University I served as Arts Editor for the Acadia student newspaper, The Athenaeum. This position primarily consisted of helping student contributors strive towards writing in accordance with the journalistic code. I maintained great relations with people writing for my section, as well as members of the arts and culture community. Therefore, having worked with enough students to be confident in my personable approach to constructive criticism, developing writing skills beyond grammar and editing, and clear communication skills, I feel I am perfectly suited to help any child grow and thrive.
Most recently, an internship led me to Ghana where I participated in gender studies and human rights research initiatives while also teaching horseback riding lessons to children at the Accra Polo Club. I received extensive training on intercultural relations and interacted with all types of people. Another seasonal position had me working with the Annapolis Valley Regional Library developing and facilitating the Summer Reading Club education program for ages up to sixteen. At Acadia University I participated in a program that paired university students with Children with special needs for two hours every week. These experiences have given me tools to facilitate learning in all types and levels of students and children.
I am excited to use my studies and life experience to teach, encourage and promote learning in the people that I interact with.
