. I am with kids and babysitting/nannying, I like to do constructive activities with kids, like drawing and painting, reading and writing. If kids need help with homework from school, I also able to be there for them and help them with their school work, provided it is in English. I speak functional French, so I would also be able to do grocery shopping for the family, or pick the kids up from school, take them out places etc. some places I would take kids out to for activities would be places like the pool, bowling alley, family-friendly movies, parks, petting zoos, etc. When I try to think of things that would be fun for kids I always try to put myself in their shoes. "How will she/or he feel about this activity?" "Will this be fun and constructive for them?". I think it's really important to treat children with respect and listen to what they have to say. Remembering my childhood, I didn't feel like anyone listen to me when I had something important I had to say, and I was always very frustrated by that. These days, when I talk to kids, I try to listen and hear what they want, and sometimes they're really great at giving me a new perspective on my adult life. I have also done some work with the disabled, people with both mental and physical disabilities. I am very caring and like working as a team, when working with multiple children I know sometimes siblings can get in fights. To me, what should have the upmost importance in any situation is to let people know that you have compassion for them, whether they be young or old, of any colour or ability. Just by showing compassion, listening to what someone has to say and feeling for them (and teaching this process) to me is the best way to resolve fights between anyone, child or adult.
Thank you for reading and hope to hear from you soon :)
