My name is Andrea . I grew up in LaSalle, ON, and I am currently studying Communications at the University of Illinois at Chicago, but will be moving back home once I graduate this May. I spent my whole life swimming competitively, so I have taught, coached, and worked with children of all ages in the pool. My swimming career is what brought me to Chicago, and from there I was introduced to a study abroad program at Northwestern University, where I eventually ended up studying in a small community in South Africa last summer. That is where I realized how well I work with children. My working partner and I started up an after school program to keep children engaged, and thrive at what they love (which was dancing). I am outgoing, organized, responsible, punctual, and able to know when something is right and wrong. I love playing with children, but I can identify the times when I need to be the authoritative figure as well.
