Hello.
My name is Anika, and I am looking for a job as either a babysitter or PSW. I am in my second year of McMaster University's Nursing program and am looking for a full-time job that allows me to care for others and develop my professional growth.
I have always been in a caregiver role, as my younger brother has been afflicted with several medical conditions. As a result, I have extensive experience in caring for children, particularly with chronic conditions. I am patient, caring, and emphasize client-centred care. I have strong therapeutic communication skills that allow me to quickly establish and maintain a positive relationship with others. My clinical skills of bed making, assisting in transfers, providing perineal/bathing/bedside care, and assisting in activities of daily living (ADLs) make me a suitable candidate for many caregiving situations.
A few of my hobbies include playing tennis and softball, and going to the gym. I am a very active individual capable of keeping up with the fast pace of kids, or assisting in transferring individuals. I love to learn, and take every opportunity as a new learning experience.
