    I've completed 75% of the Early Childhood Education diploma program, including practicums in preschool and daycare. Most of my recent experience is with 3-5 year-olds, but I also spent a lot of time taking care of infants and toddlers as a teen. I've worked four years at a summer camp with ages 8 and up, as well.

    I'm very interested in the development of emotional and social skills that happens in early childhood. I appreciate the challenges kids work through as they try out these skills. As a child, I was "slow to warm" and struggled with sensory issues and tantrums. I have a lot of patience and empathy for little ones, and a knack for communicating with them on their own terms.
