I have just completed my fourth year in the Bachelor's of Child and Youth Care Program at the University of Victoria. I have one more practicum placement before I complete my degree. I have completed two practicum placements in this program which has included working with mothers and children age birth to 3 years in a drop in play group as well as helping to facilitate a youth group for kids age 8 and up. As well I completed a practicum in the Victoria School District where I ran Social Skills groups for students from Kindergarten to grade 5. This included working with gifted, special needs, children with behavioural and mental health challenges. I have worked with children for 8 years whether it be through babysitting, or volunteering at camps. I have Standard First Aid and CPR-C/AED as well as my Class 5 Driver's license and over three years of education in child development, disabilities, counseling, and family studies. I enjoy photography and being outside in the sunshine. I am pet friendly (I LOVE cats and dogs). I also just got back from traveling south east Asia with my sister and can't wait to see more of the world.
