Hi, I'm a Mom of two grown children. I've spent most of my career working with children with special needs and have recently graduated from NSCC with an advanced diploma in Addictions; Community Outreach (with Honours) to begin a second career. I also have a Bachelor of Social Work. I enjoy working with children very much. Your children will be in good hands when they are with me. I would enjoy doing crafts and taking your children on outings (if permitted). I like to read with children, have a great imagination and loads of patience. When my children were young, my house was a revolving door for all the neighbourhood children. I enjoyed having the extra kids in my home plus it meant I was able to keep a close eye on my own children. I love to cook and I get plenty of complements so I guess I'm doing something right. My friends and instructor describe me as "kind and compassionate". I have my First Aid/CPR Level C and also Parent Effectiveness Training as well as being a very well trained counsellor. However, safety and fun are my two priorities! If you want your children to have fun and not have to worry about their safety then I'm your sitter! Having been a parent myself, I know how important it is to find someone who you can trust and who your children will also enjoy. My aim is to be a younger version of Mrs. Doubtfire!
