My name is Kelsey. I am currently a third year student at Brock University studying child health and linguistics. My programs focus specifically on healthy development and quality-of-life among children and adolescents. These programs have taught me many great skills including working hard, especially under pressure, and maintaining a confident, positive attitude. I have great experience with children within clinical and classroom settings. I volunteered as a teacher's assistant for an art class of children and adolescents aged 4 years-18 years who exhibited autism spectrum disorders. I also volunteered as an occupational therapist assistant for children that exhibited ADHD and autism. I am very enthusiastic, and eager to work with children.
My dream job is to work as a speech-language pathologist for children and youth. In my spare time I volunteer at Hotel Dieu Shaver to apply speech related activities and company to patients. Other than school and volunteer, I love to go on walks, bike, play tennis and snowboard. I love to keep busy.
I get along great with my 3 siblings. I am very sociable and friendly.
