Dear Moms and Dads, I am a creative and enthusiastic nanny who provides a warm nurturing environment for children in their home. I'm very loving, responsible, reliable, and love working with kids! I engage kids in activities that are educational and imaginative, using a variety of concepts involving spatial, auditory, verbal and physical elements. I believe in making the most of our time together! I have worked with kids for 15 years, as a performing and visual arts instructor, and as a professional nanny for the past 6 years. We’ll have wonderful fun doing creative and educational activities indoors and in the outdoors. I set positive examples, by using good communication, empathy, good manners, sharing, taking turns and cooperation. Music & Dance: In addition to being a nanny, I am a dance teacher, and have taught children ages 2 - 12 a variety of dance, and continue to teach one class per week. I also play the ukulele and piano, sharing a variety of seasonal and creative movement themed songs that enhance intellectual and physical development in children promoting confidence and a raised sense of self-esteem. Art: I use multi mediums and materials that are age appropriate, allowing children to explore, learn and develop new techniques, using a variety of textures and colours of the changing seasons. Sports: I have coached little league baseball and love to kick a soccer ball around and play outdoor hockey. I ensure that all learning is enjoyable and creative! I am interested in working with a family in the Fairfield/James Bay/Oak Bay area, sharing enriching activities and adventures that stimulate growth, learning and the magic of being a child.
