Hi. :) My name is Nicole & this June, at 22 years of age, I will be graduating McMaster University with a Bachelor of Honours Life Sciences and a minor in Psychology. As an aspiring Child Life Specialist, I hope to establish a career in normalizing hospitalizations for pediatric patients.
I have had numerous volunteer experiences working with children of all ages and varying in developmental capabilities. These have included summer camps, camp programs for children with physical and psychological disabilities, and a child development health centre. I am currently completing a placement at a home for pregnant adolescents, and learning so much in interacting with their infants. This coming summer, I will periodically be volunteering at Camp Trillium - a camp for childhood cancer fighters and their siblings.
While studying abroad in England last year, I discovered a passion for travel and adventure. I enjoy photography & scrapbooking, yoga & running, and spend most of my free time with family and friends.
I have CPR/First Aid certification at the HCP level.
