Dear family,
my name is Nina . I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am already here in Canada, looking for a job as a live in caregiver. I grew up in Bosnia with my mother. My father was killed in a war when I was siy years old. After I graduated in English language and literature, I went to NYC and had been working there as an Au Pair for 2 years. I have also worked with children in my home country.
I am a very spiritual person, and vegetarian too. I am very careful on my eating habits, trying to eat only organic fresh produce. I am interested in reading and books very much, I like to read about life, human brain abilities, power of our own thoughts, explore from Buddism, Hinduism, Vedic teaching, Yogaetc. I spend a lot of time reading and going to the library, or taking courses such as Reiki healing etc. I would like to be a life coach in the future. So all my philosphy of life is based on these particular interests. I work a lot on myself in order to change certain things for better always. And to think positive all the time.
I like to swim, I like to sing and dance with children, I love doing role plays with little children. It is always a lot of fun. I like to do arts and crafts. I like to do a lot of indoor activities, and going outdoors to the park or for a walk etc. I like to read children stories, talk about it, teach them about love and care for others, animals and nature.
I am a very peaceful personality. I was raised in a house full of love, and I like to work in a creative atmosphere and family. I might sound a little bit old fashioned, but I would like to work in an environment that values real education, good and nice manners colored with emotions.
I was working with different families and different children. But I have to say that the most comfortable work place for me is a house full of love and peace and time for a real nice conversation. In todays world, we live basically "on the go", and there we lose those important values and the material world is draging us from our inner being and soul, where true love and happiness lies. And very often we miss the most important things in our lives.
Children are there to show us true and real love and the importance of time together.
I expect to find a family who is also willing to learn more about my culture and our life in general. Sometimes I like to share Bosnian songs or dishes with children.
I am very sensitive person, and I would like to work with people who are willing to communicate and cooperate in this process. Sometimes it is not easy to combine living together and professional, so it is important to be able to mantain a good communication.
It is not always easy to write about yourself, because when life starts and we are living in the particular environment we do not know how exactly things might work. :) This is why I believe a good communication is the key. Specially because I am coming from a different culture too.
