I am a new LPN, graduated in August 2015. With my varied clinical experience and passion for geriatrics, I feel that home care would be a good fit as I focus on being a well-rounded health care worker. I am currently working casual at a hospice, long term care facility and doing palliative home care. Working at these locations has taught me how to speak with seniors and their families and I am able to build good rapport with my clients. I am able to manage up to 23 residents while working with other members of the health care team to provide comfortable and safe care. I like to engage people by sharing my love for music and movement. I love working with seniors because they are dynamic and have so much knowledge and life experience. I am a very patient, and friendly individual and I want to give seniors superior care to maintain and improve their health. I think I would be a good candidate because of the patience and special attention I give to my clients. In addition I have experience with dementia care and working with cognitively impaired clients. I am able to adapt to the unique needs of individuals therefor I could assist people in their own homes.
