    I didn’t take a course for human services but I have what a course don’t teach: compassion, respect, and solidarity for any person, especially those ones in need.

    My late husband had a car accident in what he broke ribs, facial orbit, pulse and two bones of his neck, and I was his caregiver for 6 months. Soon after that, he had a pancreatitis crisis and spent 7 weeks in life support and, again I was there in the hospital helping him the way I could. So I learned to be a caregiver with real practice.
