  • About Me

    Hello! I am a 23-year-old girl, who has just graduated with an Early Childhood Studies degree at Ryerson University. Currently, I am looking to expand my opportunities in my field. The reason I am in my field if because of my cousin, who has autism. He inspired me, and has showed me that every child has the potential to do what they love, and have so much room to grow everyday.

    I have quite a bit of experience in the field as I have done 4 internships with my school, I work in a child care centre, and have done some occasional babysitting. My internships have been in family centres, daycares, TDSB school (special needs), and the International School of Iceland for my international placement. Through my experiences, I’ve found that I enjoy being connected with nature, and that children can learn best when they are connected with something they also feel interested in. I have a desire for quality teaching, providing activities that are learned through a process and with appreciation. After having done my internship in Iceland, I was able to further understand my philosophy of “Positive Discipline”, which is exactly what I promote as an educator.

    As for baby sitting, I have had a lot of experiences in this field. I’ve taken care of children from 3 months and older, to children who are 12 yrs old. What I’ve learned is that every child is unique and wonderful in their own way. After spending some time with each child, I gain their trust and learn how I can make them feel more comfortable.

    Currently, my dreams after graduating include traveling and teaching abroad. This is my plan for when September starts, but for now I am looking for occasional baby sitting. I would love to meet you and your child, so please feel free to send me a message, call, or email!
