  • About Me

    Hello & Good Day!
I am a creative, kind, enthusiastic, brave, authentic and honest individual who has a multitude of skills to offer. I do the best I can to do the best I can to operate with Integrity, Wisdom and Compassion in all areas of my life.
I ran a home day care when my son Zachary, now 21 years of age was 10 months old. I had 2 babies, an 18 month old and two 3 year old children to care for and nurture all day; Mon to Fri from 8 am until 5 pm; so that I could stay home with Zach.
I have worked in support/advocate/teaching roles for children, 'At-Risk Youth', adults, families, persons with Intellectual & Physical disabilities and 'Marginalized Individuals' in the Core Area of Winnipeg for over 30 years.
I managed a Level 4/5 Group Home for 'At-Rick Youth' in foster care for a number of years in the Point Douglas area in central Winnipeg.
I returned to University at the age of 40, after a family separation when my children were young [6 and 11 yrs.] in 2006.
It was a very difficult time and I had to 'Dig Deep' into my inner strength to do what needed to be done, when it needed to be done, even if I didn't want to do it in order to move forward and graduate with a B.A & B.Ed in 2010.
I have had a couple of very rewarding term positions and have been a successful and 'requested' substitute teacher in two school divisions in Winnipeg until the present time.
I am currently in Ottawa to provide support and companionship to my 100 year old Great Aunt, Mavis who unfortunately does not have any other Family.
I used to be a Life Guard & Swimming Instructor, Recreation Technician and I facilitated programs for the City of Winnipeg Parks and Recreation Department. [Arts & Crafts, Teen Drop in Centres and Gymnastics].
I have CPR, Emergency First Aid certification and Level 1 ASL.
I have a positive attitude and a great sense of humour.
I am flexible, adaptable, responsible, mindful and always eager for an opportunity for growth and leaning.

I am Jennifer's Aunt thus have know her since birth. Jennifer if determined, energetic, curious (researches everything), is enthusiastic and motivated. Jennifer has lived a distance from myself and our communication has been by phone or shared family visits.
