I am currently employed as a casual housekeeper with Yaletown House, where I have worked since 2012. Through this experience I have come to appreciate the residents and caregivers, in terms of individual needs being met, as well as provincial standards. Although not directly involved in personal care of residents, I have had the opportunity to engage with some them, which really adds to my job satisfaction.

I also visit my mother regularly, who is in a care home close to me. She has had alzheimer's for the past 10 years and although it has been a challenge at times, it has also brought us closer together in a loving way. I have learned to slow down and value the simple pleasures with her.

These current, ongoing experiences with the elderly and dementia make me an excellent candidate for senior care.

I am soft spoken, compassionate and conscientious, with the ability to adapt according to changing client needs.
