Hello.
My name is Lara and I am 26 years old. I live in Aurora Ontario, and currently work as a full-time Nanny for 2 wonderful families. I will be returning to school in September to pursue my Masters in Social Work and am looking for full or part-time work in childcare for the months of July and August.
My experience working with children first began babysitting at the age of 16. I have been fortunate enough to look after newborns, toddlers, pre-school, and school-aged children. Since my qualification as a Social Service Worker in 2012, I have worked in more professional roles as a Child & Youth Worker in a Group Home setting and Child & Youth Specialist with children in Foster Care. I have 2 years of experience working with children with very high-needs. A lot of my professional experience has been working with toddlers with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder or other Behaviour Disorders in accomplishing certain goals (i. e. speech and language, fine-motor) through reading bedtime stories together, building blocks, eating with utensils, learning how to write their name, or playing with stickers.
