Hello, my name is Elizabeth. I am an positive, energetic woman in my early 30s, and I love working with children! Outdoors activities, day trips within the community, arts and crafts, reading and interactive creative play would ideally be part of everyday with the children and babies I care for. For 15+ years I have been babysitting occasionally for neighbours, friends, and more recently, clients found through Canadian Nanny. My work background includes leading a summer day program for youth with disabilities 14 - 18 years old. My volunteer experience includes teaching dance to children 4 - 12 years old and working as a tutor/mentor for youth 16 years old with the Children's Aid Society of Ottawa. My approach with children is respectful, understanding and patient while effectively communicating limits. Both my First Aid (CPR level C/AED) and NVCI are current and valid. Health and safety of the children in my care is a top priority. My education includes nutrition, and I would be happy to ensure healthy meals and snacks. I have a G license and vehicle and would be happy to run errands, do school drop-off/pick-up, and include light housekeeping and cooking in my day with the children. Right now I am available for short-term full-time or part-time babysitting. I look forward to working with you and caring for your little ones!
