Hello! My name is Sierra Tjepkema I am a energetic, up beat fun 20 year old that loves working with children. I am originally from BC and moved to Dundas over a year ago to be closer to family. I have completed 1 year of the Child and Youth Care program at Vancouver Island University. For the past year I have had the privilege of working for a wonderful family in Oakville as a nanny. I have lots of experience working with Children. My most recent experience is working as a nanny in oakville for 2 girls (2&5) in doing this job I picked them up from school, prepared healthy meals/snacks, potty trained, and assisted with homework/learning, speech therapy, bath time and bed time. I also did light house work, meal planning and occasionally took them to appointments. My other recent experience is working as a nanny for a 2 year old girl, in BC, while i was going to school and also caring after my 4 year old niece in the summer of 2013. In doing these jobs I prepared meals, educational games, fun outings, and bathe and dress for the day. My other history working with children is volunteering at a summer day camp supervising multiple children at once ranging in ages from 5-16, while volunteering I helped plan games such as, arts and crafts and fun outdoor games and also serve meals. I also worked at the Cowichan Lake arena supervising children while they skated. I have also babysat for multiple families when I was younger and growing up. This is just a brief history of my experience in working with children. I have my CPR and willing to obtain a criminal record check (if necessary),I have my driver licence and use of a vehicle and can provide references and am also very comfortable with animals. I am very flexible and am looking for something full time and long term.
